Play PS3 games on PC Online
Games for the PlayStation 3 can now be (free) to play on the PC – it’s a news that sounds great, and although it is not untrue, when it is set on this way, it can lead to false conclusions. So we decided to clarify the situation and put together a short guide on how to play Sony exclusives on your computer.
HOW IT WORKS?
For a start it should be noted that the games run through the services PlayStation Now. If you know what it is and you just want to know how to activate the service on your PC, skip this and the next section. Thus, PS Now service is streaming games on demand. This means that on it you cannot buy a game that will stay in your property. Also, through PS Now you can run PS3 games that have the blu-ray discs, or God forbid pirated versions downloaded from the Internet.
PlayStation Now is not a free service, but it is possible to try out for free for seven days, which is quite enough to play a few games. It is worth noting that the seven days takes one time, but it is technically possible to create a new account after that – with new information, but also get seven days of free gameplay.
WHAT’S worth playing?
Among the PS3 exclusive offers you can find games in the series such as Uncharted, God of War, Infamous, Killzone, Resistance, Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper. There are also individual exclusives like The Last of Us, Journey, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, Motorstorm, Twisted Metal, Flower, The Unfinished Swan, HD ICO, Shadow of the Colossus HD and others.
The offer currently doesn’t have required games such as Red Dead Redemption, Metal Gear Solid 4 or MGS HD Collection, Demon Souls, LittleBigPlanet and Gran Turismo 6. This does not mean that one day there will be – but if you are looking for just these games, then PS now is no use for you, at least for now.
WHAT’S NEEDED FOR PLAYSTATION NOW?
Since the games stream, you do not need a good computer. The important thing is that you have a minimum of Windows 7 SP1, USB 2.0 port and a connection to the Internet. As far as speed, minimal states 5 Mbps-a, and it is recommended more than that, optimally 12 Mbps.
HOW TO ENTER NOW PLAYSTATION SERVICE?
1. Create a PSN account here.
IMPORTANT: Country / Region should be located on the United Kingdom or any country where the PS Now is officially supported. Mail address must also be valid because the account is activated via e-mail that you send Sony after registration.
2. Once you have activated PSN Account over the link you receive in the mail, download the installation file on this page.
3. Install the program and run it. In the fields enter the date of birth (must be “of age”) and for the region / language select United Kingdom. When you view the main screen, click on the “7 Day Free Trial“.
4. In the open window go to the sign (sign in) and fill out a form with information.
IMPORTANT: You need to enter a valid credit card, but if you do not want to be charged after 7 days has passed you need to log into your PSN account and go to “account/wallet at the bottom find and press edit and for Automatically Add Funds to Renew Subscriptions choose NO.
5. Once you have done these steps, from the main menu, you can start a game. Before that, just make sure that you connect the controller to a computer.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER SEVEN DAYS?
If you followed the instructions above, PSN account after the expiration of the probationary period remains active, and Sony does not charged for payment. If you choose to activate the service, subscription to play on PlayStation Now service comes in three forms – the monthly fee is 20 dollars, 45 quarterly and annual $ 100.
The offer of the games will be extended, but do not expect a regular renewal of the same. It’s also announced that the service will soon be available in other European countries, so if you currently troubled by poor reception, the lag could possibly be cut down as servers for the service will be set slightly closer to our territory.
