Although the No Man’s Sky’s managed to piss of almost the entire gaming community with unfulfilled promises, this sub-genre shows no signs of slackening and Astroneer could be the game that NMS should be.
If you have invested in No Man’s Sky while hoping that you will eventually meet other players and / or their handicrafts, it is clear that you have obtained experience of pure disappointent. Fortunately, the scene jumps to the upcoming Early Access title Astroneer, which among other things promises just the possibility of co-operative gameplay.
The Astroneer deals with the same subject matter as well as the now almost forgotten No Man’s Sky (which is indeed coming back into action slowly through updates), and players will be able to explore a procedurally-generated universe, down to the planet and drive round around in all kinds of vehicles and all this in the company of three other players who will be able to join at any time.
What makes Astoneer particularly interesting, except intriguing visual style, is the ability for players terraform planets, whose building material manufacturer System Era Softworks compared with Play-Doh mass or plasticine. As for the vehicle, it is important to note that the players themselves will be able to prepare it in what they want to drive but will also be able to get along various modules, solar cells and the like and they stick to each other.
Astroneer comes as Early Access title on PC and Xbox One and will be available from the 16th of this month. System Era Softworks say that the price of the game will be $ 19.99, which is quite acceptable if you’re interested in this type of game.
