Technomancer is a soldier with special abilities of firing lightning from hands and manipulate electricity, and as such you are actually a Jedi of this story on Mars, which largely revolves around political relations and war tension between several factions. Sounds like material for a good sci-fi book around, and it might even be more appropriate because it is the way it is all here associated Technomancer weakest link.

As you surpass Padawan degree (and it’s immediately) they cast you in the role of a police officer who patrols the neighborhood and solves cases of missing prostitutes, parcel delivery and of course the arrest of all kinds of rebels. The relatively boring and stretched part of getting to know the key base can take up to a dozen hours, and when the Technomancer must make the strongest impressions, it becomes clear that you will carry out with him the next 30 hours.

The whole thing is based on several popular RPG elements such as statistics charisma, stealth, lock-picking, and other choices in the dialogue which can solve the problem in an alternative way. Nevertheless, through my feature-length adventure I’ve never had the impression that I’m tailoring my own way, but just following the set path that was prepared in advance . What exactly and where exactly you can do something at any given time is always limited and clearly shows a series of exclamation points scattered around the map, and everything in between turns hollow with lack of surprises. This sense of adventure here is very superficial, artificial or simply non-existent.

However, this self-prepared path is not as bad as you would expect, it becomes predictably unfulfilling. Although there is a system which would follow my relationships with colleagues and clients of the red planet, whether I was good, bad or evil, I would rarely had the feeling that my choices had an impact. Soon you get the impression that all leads to more or less the same.

The thing I like the most ,without doubt, is the methodical and pleasant system of animated battle that’s like a dance, where every shot carries its own weight. You cannot just thrash the keys and expect to exterminate all, from the players is required to meticulously capture the rhythm and understand what is going on from all sides. Through the whole thing are scattered cool slow-motion moments that as icing on the cake here form the most pleasure.

Anyway, while the Technomancer has a fun fight and somehow intriguing premise, the whole thing never fails to rise to the level you are aiming. It is obvious that the Technomancer wants to play in the sandbox with the big boys that are most reliant on the same mold various Bioware titles, including potential romance with colleagues. Due to weaker developing team and a limited budget is not something to compete with, but in the end it turns out quite average.

The Technomancer is not trying anything that is resembled by something from this decade. The final product that we got we’ll remember only by how quick we forgot it.
