Last year we got a little indication that the situation with the DLC packs in the near future could be fixed in favor of the players. In fact, several high-profile games, such as Overwatch, Street Fighter V and Titanfall 2, brought additional updates equally to all players, at no extra charge. Although this is still the exception rather than the rule, a clear indication that the success of some games in multiplayer unless you add new content, but it’s also important that this new content is not distributed base of players to those who have it and those who do not.

Ubisoft had a similar approach during 2016 for Rainbow Six: Siege. True, the game had a season pass, a bunch of expansion, microtransactions and earlier access to additional content for those who pay for it. However, all the extra content could unlock itself by playing the game. Some will say that this is trap, but says Elizabeth from BioShock: Infinite – “A choice is better than none.”

The good news, therefore, that the same scheme of following content will have the upcoming For Honor. All additional fighters, folders and other bonuses will be available to all players for free. Those who choose to purchase a season pass content will get faster and earlier than others, but nothing will be exclusive.

How do you like this approach? Are you ready for a little grinding for additional content or believe that time is the same thing as money?
