Original Dark Souls is coming to Xbox One together with the Dark Souls 3
Owners of the Xbox One’s who purchase Dark Souls 3 will get more than the owners of other consoles, because it seems that the original Dark Souls joins backwards compatibility program, moreover free with each digital edition DS3.
Would you believe that I just completed a six-hour session on Dark Souls and was greeted with this news? Incredibly. At the Australian Xbox Store, Dark Souls 3 appeared briefly in the digital edition available for pre-order, but the most interesting is that with it, it is also promised an unit for Xbox 360 will support backward compatibility on Xbox One.
We can no longer find the offer but it seems like this information may not have been meant for public at this time, but we have a picture of the ad while it was still current, which explains everything in detail. So, all those who preorder digital Xbox One version of DS3, you will also get for free the original Dark Souls for Xbox 360, which will by then be properly supported on the Xbox One through backwards compatibility program. But it should not be exclusive for preorders or people from Australia, but if you have a Dark Souls for Xbox 360, you should be able to insert the old drive into your new Xbox One and play without problems, in around two months.
I believe that these reports are a delight for all fans of the series, because most still hold the best Souls game. In terms of the eternal performance issues in certain areas and that its release on Steam unfortunately, was not ideal and the Steam version was only partially patched, we hope that the Xbox One version will finally be perfect in every way. It would be a good opportunity to remind ourselves or to find out finally what is so attractive and irresistible in Dark Souls.
