Indie hit Shovel Knight of his first steps was present on Nintendo’s Wii U / 3DS platforms, since it is largely inspired sidescroller NES era. Although later appeared on all other platforms, now we learn that will not bypass Nintendo‘s next console.

Knight with a shovel on the switch will appear as a collection of three games called Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. The collection will include the original game which is added subtitle Shovel of Hope, expansion Plague of Shadows and the upcoming prequel Spectre of Torment.

Collection will not be exclusive to the Switch but will also appear on all other platforms. Moreover, all the owners of the original Shovel Knight will receive a Treasure Trove for free. The collection also features the option of the local co-operative gameplay for two players. It has thus far been exclusive to the Wii U version, but will now be available on all platforms except the 3DS and PS Vita. During 2017 Treasure Trove will still get two free DLC. Battle mode will confront four players in local PvP, while King Knight’s Campaign to bring another short campaign.
